Where do I find it?
Setup > Products & Services > Products > Edit the product > Configurations
What does it mean?
This article explains how to configure the Box Office calendar setup per product. This lets you decide, for each product, whether the Box Office booking flow should ask for a date, a time, both, or no date at all.
You can use this setup when different products need different booking behaviour. For example, a morning tour may require a specific departure date and time, while another product may only need a date, or may allow the seller to continue without selecting a date.
What should I do?
First, open the product you want to configure. Go to Setup > Products & Services > Products, edit the product, and select the Configurations tab. There you will find the Boxoffice Calendar Setup option.
Enable the Boxoffice Calendar Setup toggle to activate the dropdown. Then select the preferred date and time behaviour for that product. Repeat the same steps for any other product that needs a different calendar setup.
Date time option |
Behaviour |
|---|---|
Default |
The system follows the standard calendar behaviour for the product. If no specific setup exists, Box Office uses the default date and time behaviour. |
Date and time selection |
The seller must select both a date and a time during the Box Office booking flow. Use this for scheduled departures where the exact start time is required. |
Date and time selection or none |
The seller can select a date and time, or continue without selecting them by using the “Decide Later” option. |
Date only selection (no time) |
The seller selects a date only. Use this when the booking needs a travel or visit date, but no specific departure time. |
Date only selection (no time) or none |
The seller can select a date, or continue without selecting a date by using the “Decide Later” option. |
No date selection |
The Box Office calendar is not shown, so the seller does not select a date or time for the booking. |
Good to know
The configuration is managed per product, so each product can have its own calendar behaviour.
The Boxoffice Calendar Setup toggle must be enabled before you can change the dropdown value.
If the toggle is disabled or no specific value has been configured, Box Office uses the default behaviour.
This setting controls what the seller sees in the Box Office calendar. It does not create timetables, events, prices, availability, or capacity.
FAQs
➕ Can I configure different calendar options for different products?
Yes. The setup is saved per product, so each product can use a different calendar behaviour. For example, one product can require date and time selection, while another one can use date only or no date selection.
➕ Does this setting create or change product availability?
No. This setting only defines which date and time fields are shown in the Box Office booking flow. Timetables, events, capacity, availability, and prices must still be configured in the relevant product and product setup.
