Where do I find it?
Operations > Resource Management > Create resource or edit an existing one
What does it mean?
“Activate login for this resource” is a property you can enable on a resource.
When it is enabled:
The resource can log in to the Palisis Backoffice.
They can see their departures in Next Departures, and the Calendar.
They only see their own departures – they do not see departures of other resources.
To allow this, the resource must be linked to a user. If a suitable user does not exist yet, you will need to create a new user.
The next section explains both options.
What should I do?
When you enable “Activate login for this resource” on a resource, you must link it to a user account. You can:
Create a new user, or
Use an existing user.
1. Creating new user
-
In Operations → Resource Management, open the resource (create or edit).
-
Tick “Activate login for this resource”.
-
Choose the option to create a new user.
-
A new section will appear at the bottom of the page to enter the user details (email, first name, last name, etc.). Click Create user.
The newly created user will now appear at the bottom of the existing users list. Click Save to save the resource.
Permissions / Role
A user created this way automatically gets the
Role Backoffice Limitedauthority level.-
This role allows the user to:
Access Pre-bookings and Calendar.
See only their own departures.
For more detailed instructions on user creation and management, see this article.
Important: Each user account can be linked to only one resource.
2. Using an existing user
-
In Operations → Resource Management, open the resource.
-
Tick “Activate login for this resource”.
-
From the list of existing users, select the user you want to link to this resource. Save the resource.
-
In the Type tab, assign at least one resource type so the user can access their relevant departures. Save your changes.
Adjust the user’s permissions
To prevent this user from accessing the full Backoffice, you must ensure they have the limited role:
-
Go to Account → User Management. Find and open the user.
-
Edit the Authority level section and assign the Role Backoffice Limited authority level.
Note: If the user has broader roles (e.g. full Backoffice access), review and adjust them carefully to avoid giving unintended access.
Good to know
A user can only be linked to one resource.
-
If a resource should no longer log in:
Untick “Activate login for this resource”, and/or
Adjust or deactivate the associated user in Account → User Management.
Changes to roles and permissions may require the user to log out and log in again to take effect.

The Backoffice Limited role restricts access to the user’s own departures only, to protect data and limit operational risk.
