Where do I find it?
Setup > Products & Services > Products > Edit the product > Configurations
What does it mean?
The Box Office Calendar Setup controls how the calendar behaves during the Box Office booking flow. It determines whether the seller must pick a date and time, pick only a date, skip the selection entirely, or see no calendar at all.
By default, Box Office requires the seller to select a date and time before completing a booking. However, some products don't need a fixed departure — for example, open vouchers, gift cards, or flexible-date tickets. In these cases, you can configure the product so the seller can continue the booking without choosing a date, using the "Decide later" button.
When a booking is created without a date, the passenger can check in at any time in the future. Alternatively, a specific date and time can be assigned later from the Palisis back office.
Please note that this setting applies to individual products only — it is not available for packages.
What should I do?
First, open the product you want to configure. Go to Setup > Products & Services > Products, edit the product, and select the Configurations tab. There you will find the Boxoffice Calendar Setup option.
Then, select one of the following options to control the calendar behaviour in Box Office:
Date time option |
Behaviour |
Date and time selection or none |
The seller can select a date and time, or continue without selecting them by clicking the "Decide Later" button. |
Date only selection (no time) or none |
The seller can select a date, or continue without selecting one by clicking the "Decide Later" button. |
No date selection |
The Box Office calendar is not shown at all. The seller does not select a date or time — the booking is created without one automatically. |
Let's see how it works with two examples. In the first one, we will select the "Date and time selection or none" option for one of our products. As a result, the Box Office calendar will display the "Decide later" button.
In our second example, we will select the "No date selection" option for the same product, which results in a booking process without the calendar.
In both cases, the bookings are created without a selected event date, allowing the passenger to check in at any time in the future, or a date and time can be assigned to the tickets in the Palisis back office.
