Where do I find it?
Setup > Products & Services > Edit a Product > TourCMS > Distribution
What does it mean?
Thanks to this feature, products created in Palisis are automatically replicated as tours in TourCMS with the same information. This means you no longer need to input the same data twice in both systems. The information is synchronised in TourCMS to facilitate the global distribution of your products through OTAs and other agents on the TourCMS marketplace. The system automatically configures the required mapping for this process.
The tour exporter functionality has the following benefits:
- Reduces the time taken to load tours
- Eliminates human error
- Removes the need to understand subsystem mapping codes
The process would be:
- Palisis triggers: Distribute Tour
- TourCMS: Pulls Get Tour Endpoint in Palisis
- TourCMS Notifies Palisis about imported Tour with ID
- Palisis can Setup Mapping
Important: This feature needs only one route per operational line to work. It does not work if there is more than one route per operation line.
What should I do?
To enable this functionality, you must first have an active TourCMS account (not a free trial) and a channel created within the account. Once these prerequisites are met, please contact our support team at support@palisis.com with the following information:
- Your Palisis account details
- The products you wish to distribute
- The channel ID
- Your TourCMS account details
Our support team will assist you with the integration process.
Once you have our confirmation that everything is in place, you can check each product to ensure it has been distributed adequately to TourCMS by heading to Setup > Products & Services > Products > Edit > TourCMS tab. All prerequisites should be marked with a green tick; otherwise, the export will not occur.
The Location and descriptions are added at the Route level in Setup > Product & Services > Routes. They are not mandatory by default, but they are required to export to tour to TourCMS. Please note that future changes in a Route trigger an update to TourCMS to synchronize the content in both systems.
Finally, if all the prerequisites are marked in green, you will find a button to trigger the exportation from Palisis to TourCMS:
Once you click the "Press to distribute" button, the tour is exported to TourCMS. This process may take a few minutes, during which the distribution status will display as "Distribution in progress."
Troubleshooting
You can troubleshoot the tour exporter by going to TourCMS > PRODUCTS > TOUR IMPORTER
Then, click on “View tour log”.
Please note that the tour may take a few hours to be distributed.
