What does it mean?
The new Webshop introduces a redesigned customer journey for product discovery, ticket selection, checkout and booking confirmation. The goal is to provide a faster, clearer and more intuitive booking experience while keeping the core booking functionality customers already use.
This article compares the new and legacy Webshop experiences, explains which configuration areas should be checked before switching, and highlights new features that support teams should know when advising customers.
What should I do?
Start by reviewing the new Webshop in your UAT environment before applying the change in LIVE. This gives you a safe place to check the customer journey, confirm that the offers display correctly, and identify any configuration changes needed before customers use the new experience.
- Go to Sales channels > Webshop and open the Webshop you want to update.
- Enable the new Webshop design in UAT.
- Review the full booking flow: product page, calendar, ticket selection, passenger details, checkout, payment and confirmation page.
- Check the branding, colours, logo, background image and any embedded Webshop behaviour if the Webshop is used inside the customer’s website.
- When the UAT version looks correct, replicate the same configuration in LIVE.
Make sure you also test the Webshop from the customer’s perspective. The main functionality remains the same, but the layout and flow have changed, so customers may see information in a different order than in the legacy Webshop.
Because the new Webshop uses a faster and more guided booking flow, some legacy configuration settings are now deprecated or no longer relevant. These settings were useful in the previous layout, but the new design handles the same experience differently. When migrating a Webshop, review the following settings so you can explain to customers why they may no longer see or need them.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
|
All priceplan at once ![]() |
You can either show all priceplans at once or just one priceplan at a time and then the customer needs to switch between the different priceplans. |
|
Collapse priceplans ![]() |
If we enable this setting, we can see the seat category in a dropdown list. |
|
Show multi-currency drop down in checkout process ![]() |
It allows to choose between accepted currencies during the checkout process. |
|
Day of week abbrev. 2 character ![]() |
It is possible to have 2 or 3 letters when at the weekday selection. Either MO / TU / WE or MON / TUE / WED. This helps to keep a narrow layout. |

Good to know
- The new Webshop is designed to be responsive, so always check the layout on both desktop and mobile devices before going live.
- Existing bookings are not changed by enabling the new design. The update affects the customer-facing booking experience for new bookings.
- If the customer uses an embedded Webshop, test it inside the customer’s website as well as in the direct Webshop URL.
- Background images should be tested carefully to make sure text, buttons and product information remain easy to read.
- If a customer reports that a legacy setting is missing, first check whether the behaviour is now handled automatically by the new booking flow.
FAQs
Can customers still use the old Webshop?
The legacy Webshop may still be available during the transition period, but customers should be encouraged to test and move to the new design. The new Webshop is the recommended experience because it provides the updated booking flow and new configuration options.
