Where do I find it?
Sales channels > Webshop > Edit the Webshop >
Note: it applies to the new Webshop design
What does it mean?
In the new Webshop, seat categories are shown during ticket selection, underneath the prices. By default, they appear directly on the page in an expanded view.
Accordion mode changes this behaviour. Instead of showing every seat category fully expanded, the Webshop displays them in collapsible accordion sections. This creates a cleaner and more guided layout, especially when there are multiple seat categories or many price plans to show.
You can also control the default expansion state:
- FIRST: only the first seat category is displayed in accordion mode by default.
- ALL: all price plans are displayed in accordion mode.
If you enable New webshop - Display accordion mode but do not set a value for the second accordion setting, the Webshop displays only the first price in accordion mode by default.
What should I do?
Follow these steps to configure accordion mode for seat categories.
- Go to Sales channels > Webshop.
- Open the Webshop you want to configure.
- Make sure the Webshop is using the new Webshop design.
- Enable the setting New webshop - Display accordion mode.
- Select the default accordion behaviour for seat categories.
The available behaviours are:
- FIRST — only the first seat category is opened in accordion mode by default.
- ALL — all seat categories or price plans are shown in accordion mode.
If accordion mode is enabled without selecting the related default-state setting, the Webshop falls back to showing only the first price in accordion mode. This can cause confusion if you expected all seat categories to be expanded or visible in the same way.
Best practice: Configure and validate accordion mode in UAT first, then apply the same setup in LIVE once the display matches the intended customer experience.
Good to know
- Accordion mode only affects how seat categories are presented in the new Webshop. It does not change the underlying product, pricing, or booking logic.
- Always review the result on both desktop and mobile devices, because collapsible layouts can feel different depending on screen size.
