Localization Panel Overview

What does it mean?

Localisation lets you adapt the wording that customers see in your webshop without changing the webshop code. Each localisation attribute controls a specific text element, for example a button, label, message or legal text block.

You can define different wording for each webshop language. This is useful when you want customers to see natural, localised text instead of generic translations. For example, you may use Book now in English, Jetzt buchen in German and Reservar ahora in Spanish.

The screenshots below show where each label appears. In the examples, the displayed value was changed to the name of the setting so you can easily match the label in the webshop with the correct localisation field.

What should I do?

Localization

Use the localisation table to find the text you want to change, then enter the wording you want customers to see for each active webshop language.

  1. Go to Sales channels > Webshop > Edit Webshop

    Edit Webshop Navigation
  2. Open the Advanced tab and go to the Localization section.

    Advanced Localization Menu
  3. Search for the label or compare the webshop screen with the reference screenshots below.
  4. Update the text in the relevant language column.
  5. Keep any tokens exactly as shown, for example $amount, $price, $stepX or $stepTotal. The webshop replaces these tokens with the correct dynamic value.
  6. Save your changes and test the webshop in each language.

Why should I customise these labels?

  • Improve conversion: clear button text such as Book now or Add to cart helps customers understand the next step.
  • Reduce support questions: helpful field labels and error messages explain what customers need to do.
  • Match your brand: use wording that fits your tone of voice and your product names, for example Tour, Experience, Ticket or Pass.
  • Support multiple markets: show accurate wording in each language instead of relying on one generic text.

Examples

  • Change Label Book to Reserve your seat if your customers book scheduled departures.
  • Change Pickup-Label to Meeting point if guests should go to a fixed meeting location rather than a hotel pickup.
  • Change Label Promo to Discount code if this wording is more familiar to your customers.
  • Change Additional Info messages to explain important booking details, such as arrival time, accessibility information or what customers need to bring.

Good to know

  • Localisation changes are language-specific. If your webshop is available in several languages, review the text for each language before publishing.
  • Only change the wording around tokens, not the token itself. For example, if the original text contains $amount, keep $amount in your custom text so the webshop can display the correct price.
  • Keep button labels short. Long labels may not display well on mobile devices.
  • Use customer-friendly wording. For example, Email address is clearer than Email, and Continue to payment is clearer than Continue during checkout.
  • After saving, test the complete booking flow: offer page, ticket selection, cart, checkout, payment, confirmation and download page.

FAQs

Can I use different wording for each language? ▼

Yes. Localisation is managed per webshop language, so you can enter different text for English, German, Spanish or any other active language. This helps customers see natural wording in their own language.

Why do some labels contain tokens such as $amount or $price? ▼

Tokens are placeholders for dynamic values. For example, $amount is replaced by the actual order amount and $price is replaced by the relevant price. Keep these tokens in the text exactly as they are written, otherwise the webshop may not be able to show the correct value.
