Where do I find it?

Sales channels > Webshop

Find Direct Links Settings

What does it mean?

Direct links allow you to send customers to a specific part of your webshop instead of only opening the webshop homepage. You can use them to open a specific offer, start the booking flow immediately, pre-select a departure date and time, force the mobile view, or open the webshop in a specific language. This is useful for campaigns, website buttons, partner pages, QR codes, newsletters, and social media posts because customers reach the right booking step faster and with fewer clicks.

What should I do?

Direct Links

You can build direct links by adding parameters to your webshop URL. In the examples below, the shop domain webshop-api-test is only a sample domain. Replace it with your own webshop domain. For links that point to a specific offer, you also need the route ID, for example r-1541. You can find the route ID in Sales channels > Webshop > Edit Webshop > Offers. Use direct links when you want customers to land exactly where they need to book, instead of asking them to search for the offer manually.

Book Direct

Book Direct sends the customer straight into the booking process for the selected route. It skips the introductory offer page with the image and booking button, so the customer can start selecting tickets, dates, or other required booking details immediately. Use this link for “Book now” buttons, paid ads, newsletters, or QR codes where the customer already knows what they want to book. To find this link go to Sales channels > Webshop > Edit Webshop > Offers and click on the selected icon. Then copy the URL, that’s the offer direct link.

Benefit: fewer clicks and a shorter path to checkout. If you also want to pre-select a specific date and time, combine this with event-direct as explained below.

Offer Direct

Offer Direct opens one specific offer in the webshop. The customer still sees the offer page, but they do not have to search through the full webshop catalogue. Use this when you want to promote one product, one tour, one attraction, or a limited selection of offers from a campaign page.

You can also show only a selected group of offers in the webshop. Add the route IDs after offer-direct and separate them with commas. This is helpful when you want to create a focused landing page, for example “family activities”, “Christmas tours”, or “partner promotions”, without showing every product in the webshop.

Event Direct

If you want to send customers directly to a specific departure (event) of an offer, you can add the query parameter event-direct to your direct link. This means the date and time are already selected when the customer opens the link.

This is especially useful for email campaigns, buttons on your website, QR codes, or special event promotions, where you want to skip the “choose date/time” step. The benefit is a faster booking experience and fewer mistakes, because the customer is taken to the exact departure you want to promote.

How it works

  • event-direct pre-selects the departure in the webshop booking flow.
  • It must always be used together with either:
    • book-direct, or
    • offer-direct
  • The offer should be configured with Date-time option = date-time (so customers normally choose date & time).

Format

Use this format (no seconds, no timezone):

  • yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm

Example: 2025-12-24T20:00

If the date/time is wrong or doesn’t exist

If the provided event-direct value:

  • doesn’t exist for that offer, or
  • is not bookable, or
  • is in the wrong format,

…the webshop will simply open the normal booking flow (first step) so the customer can choose an available date/time.

Examples

Force Mobile

Force Mobile opens the webshop in the mobile layout, even if the customer is using a desktop browser. This can be useful when you link from QR codes, mobile-first campaigns, kiosks, tablets, or pages where you want a compact booking experience.

Language

You can force the webshop to open in a specific language by adding the locale parameter. This is useful when you send links to international customers, partners, or language-specific campaign pages. The language code has two characters, for example, de for German or es for Spanish.

English - en
German - de
Catalan - ca

French - fr
Italian - it

Good to know

  • Replace the sample domain in every example with your own webshop domain before sharing the link with customers.
  • Use the correct route ID for the offer you want to promote. If the route ID is wrong, the link may not open the expected offer.
  • Choose the link type based on the customer journey: use offer-direct when customers should first see the offer details, and book-direct when they should go straight to booking.
  • You can combine parameters in one URL, for example, to open a specific offer, pre-select an event, and force a language.
  • Always test the final link in a browser before adding it to a website, email, QR code, or partner page.
  • If you use event-direct, make sure the departure exists, is bookable, and uses the correct format: yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm.
  • Direct links do not create new availability or override booking rules. They only control where the customer lands in the webshop.

FAQs

Can I combine different direct link parameters? ▼

Yes. You can combine parameters in the same URL by using & between them. For example, you can open a specific offer and force the language at the same time: https://webshop-api-test.palisis.com/?offer-direct=r-1541&locale=de.

Which direct link should I use? ▼

Use offer-direct when customers should first see the offer information. Use book-direct when you want them to start booking immediately. Use event-direct together with one of those links when you want to pre-select a specific departure date and time.

Why does my event-direct link not select the departure? ▼

Check that the date and time exist for that offer, that the departure is bookable, and that the format is correct: yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm. If the value is invalid, the webshop opens the normal booking flow so the customer can choose an available date and time.
