Find Branding and Social Settings
Branding and Social Fields

What does it mean?

The Branding and Social settings let you customise the customer-facing information shown in your Webshop and on customer documents, such as tickets. In this area, you can update contact details, add legal information, configure tracking with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, and enable social sharing buttons.

Use these settings to make sure customers see the correct company name, contact information, legal links and sharing options throughout their booking journey.

What should I do?

Contact details

The contact details entered here are used for the Webshop and customer documents. In the new Webshop, contact details are shown during the booking process and on the final page after payment, where customers can download their tickets.

  • Account name: Enter the name you want customers to see for the Webshop. This can be your company or brand name. It may appear on tickets, offers and the website, so it does not have to be the account owner’s personal name.
  • Contact e-mail: Enter the e-mail address customers should use to contact you. This can override the default contact e-mail shown on tickets, the website and other customer-facing documents.
  • Contact phone: Enter the phone number customers should use to contact you. This can override the default contact phone number shown on tickets, the website and other customer-facing documents.
  • Footer Link (HTML allowed): Add a link to an external website, your terms of service, imprint, legal notice or similar page. This field supports HTML. To show a clickable link, use this format: <a href="https://www.palisis.com/about-us/terms-of-service/">Terms of service</a>

Terms and Conditions

Use this field to override the default Terms and Conditions shown on your Webshop, tickets and other customer-facing documents. Add the text customers must accept or review before completing their booking.

Legal override for partner tickets

Note: Relates to the ticket PDF

This setting controls which legal and contact details are printed on tickets when a partner product is booked through your Webshop.

  1. Set it to True if tickets for partner products should show your current Webshop details, including account name, e-mail, phone number and footer link.
  2. Set it to False if tickets for partner products should show the partner’s own details, including account name, e-mail, phone number and footer link.

Link to owner-website

Enter the website customers should be sent to from the booking overview page. When customers click My bookings, they enter their e-mail address and receive a link to a Palisis page with their bookings. The button in the top-right corner of that page redirects customers to the URL entered in Link to owner-website.

Google Analytics and Tag Manager

Use these settings if you want to track Webshop traffic, conversions or ecommerce activity with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. If you are not responsible for analytics setup, ask your marketing or tracking team for the correct values before changing these fields.

For the full setup instructions, see these related articles:

You can configure the following tracking settings for your Webshop:

  • Google Analytics Ecommerce enabled: Enable this option if you want to send ecommerce data, such as purchases and conversion information, to Google Analytics. By default, this option is disabled.
  • Google Analytics Domains: Enter the Google Analytics domains that should be used for tracking. If you add more than one domain, separate them with commas.
  • Google Tag Manager ID: Enter your Google Tag Manager container ID to activate Google Tag Manager for the Webshop. The ID usually starts with GTM-, for example GTM-XXXXXXX.

The Google Tag Manager container is loaded directly in the Webshop index file, not injected asynchronously by JavaScript.

To find your Google Tag Manager ID:

    1. Go to tagmanager.google.com and sign in.
    2. Open the container or website workspace you want to use for this Webshop.
    3. Find the container ID in the top-right corner, next to the Preview and Submit buttons.
    4. Copy the ID and paste it into the Google Tag Manager ID field in your Webshop settings.

  • Anonymize IP for Google Tag Manager and Analytics: Enable this option if the customer’s real IP address should be anonymised before it is sent to Google. This can help with privacy and compliance requirements.

Social Media

By default, social media sharing buttons are disabled. Set the relevant option to Yes to show a sharing button next to each offer in your Webshop. When customers click a button, they are redirected to the selected social network and can share the Webshop URL.

Example Facebook sharing URL: https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=http://webshop-api-test.palisis.ch

  • Facebook: Shows a Facebook sharing button next to each offer so customers can share your shop.
  • Twitter: Shows a Twitter/X sharing button next to each offer so customers can share your shop.
  • Pinterest: Shows a Pinterest sharing button next to each offer so customers can share your shop.

Good to know

  • Make sure to test contact fields and legal link overrides in the webshop before sending the update to customers.
  • Setting up tracking parameters incorrectly may affect the analytical data received, so consult your tracking specialist if needed.

FAQs

Can I use a company name instead of the account owner’s name? ▼

Yes. In the Account name field, you can enter the company or brand name you want customers to see.

Do I need both Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager? ▼

Not always. Use the setup required by your tracking team. Google Tag Manager is commonly used to manage tracking tags in one place, while Google Analytics is used to measure traffic and ecommerce activity.
