What does it mean?
Google Pay is a digital wallet payment method that allows customers to pay quickly using cards saved in their Google account. In this article, we explain what needs to happen before Google Pay can be used for on-site and online payments.
Google Pay is not enabled by default. It must be activated for the specific merchant store before it appears as an available payment option at checkout.
What should I do?
Contact Palisis Support or your account manager and request Google Pay activation for the relevant store.
- Include your Palisis account name in your request.
- Confirm whether Google Pay is needed for the webshop, devices, or both.
- No additional setup is required from the operator side once activation is completed.
Our Customer Success team will inform you once Google Pay has been activated for your onsite and online payments. Google Pay will only appear as a payment option after it has been enabled for the specific customer account.
How does it look at checkout?
Webshop
On the webshop checkout page, end users can select Google Pay as their payment method when it is available for their account and device.
Devices
On a device checkout, sales personnel should select Credit card. The customer can then complete the payment using Google Pay if it is supported on their device and has been enabled for the store.
Good to know
- Google Pay must be activated per customer store before it is shown at checkout.
- Availability can depend on the customer’s device, browser, and Google Pay setup.
