What does it mean?
In the Palisis Webshop, the booking flow sometimes presents customers with a "Not specified" option in the pickup selection dropdown. While this offers flexibility for some, for many operators (such as those running precise shuttle services or scheduled day tours), knowing the exact pickup location of every passenger is critical for capacity management, accurate reporting, and daily operations.
By default, the webshop allows a generic "Not specified" choice. This can lead to operational confusion and additional manual work for your team, as they must contact customers post-booking to obtain their details. To streamline your logistics, you can configure your Palisis Backoffice to hide this option, forcing customers to choose from your defined pickup points.
Benefits of hiding "Not specified":
- Precise Operations: Your dispatch and scheduling teams will know exactly where to send vehicles and how many passengers to expect at each stop.
- Better Reporting: Eliminates data gaps in your booking manifests, ensuring clean, actionable reports.
- Improved Customer Experience: Clarifies the booking flow, reducing traveler confusion during check-out.
What should I do?
To hide the "Not specified" option from your webshop, you must configure the "Extend PickUp Selection" settings. Follow these steps:
- Log in to your Palisis Backoffice.
- Navigate to your product settings by going to Sales channels Webshop Edit the Webshop.
- Go to the Advanced Booking Process tab and locate the Extend PickUp Selection settings under the product's configuration tab.
- Switch both "Extend PickUp Selection" and "Extended Pickup Selection - Mandatory" toggles to ON.
- Save your changes.
Once both settings are enabled, the Palisis engine automatically suppresses the "Not specified" option, making the selection of an active pickup location mandatory for the customer in the webshop flow.
