ℹ️

Pearl of knowledge: When a backoffice or boxoffice user is created, the system sends a notification email with login instructions. This email is not sent when creating a backoffice admin user.

Good to know

  • Unique email required: Every user must have a unique email address. Even after deleting a user, the email remains in the database and cannot be reused. Contact Support if you need to free up an email.

  • Sales users can use dummy emails: Since Sales users only log in via PIN on the device, you can use a dummy email address, for example john.doe@test.test, as long as they don't need Backoffice access.

  • Users can only grant what they have: A Backoffice user with User Management permission can create other users, but can only assign permissions they already have themselves. They cannot elevate another user above their own permission level.

  • Drag-and-drop ordering matters: The order of Sales users in the list determines the order they appear on the sales device. Use drag and drop to rearrange.

  • Notification emails: When a Backoffice or Boxoffice user is created, the system sends a notification email with login instructions.

FAQs

I need a Backoffice Admin user — how do I get one?

Backoffice Admin users can only be created by a Palisis role. If you need one, please submit a request to our Support team and specify the email address, first name, and last name for the new admin user.

Can a Boxoffice Admin create other Boxoffice Admin users?

No. A Boxoffice Admin can only create Boxoffice users, not other Boxoffice Admins. To create a new Boxoffice Admin, you need a Palisis role or a Backoffice Admin.
