What does it mean?
When a guest arrives with tickets that don’t yet have seats, the device prompts seat selection before completing check-in or voucher redemption.
In real operations, it’s common to reach the gate without assigned seats: OTA and partner sales may not support seat choice at purchase; vouchers and gift cards are redeemed later; open-dated or flexible products defer seat assignment; and group bookings may be created centrally without per-guest seats.
What should I do?
Follow these steps when checking in a ticket or voucher on the device:
Scan the ticket or voucher. Use the device as usual to scan the QR code or barcode.
Seat assignment. If seats are already assigned, the device proceeds directly to check-in/redemption. If not, the seating chart opens with a suggested best available seat pre-selected.
Review or change the suggested seat. Accept it by tapping the green shopping cart (top-right) to add it to the cart, or deselect and pick another available seat. Only one seat can be assigned per ticket.
Complete the check-in. Once the seat is in the cart, continue to finish the check-in or voucher redemption as normal.
Group tickets (multiple entries)
The device pre-selects best available seats for the entire group when seats are unassigned.
The sales user can change individual seat assignments before confirming (e.g., move a guest to a different row).
You cannot add more tickets to the group at this stage; only reassign seats.
Tap the green shopping cart to confirm and proceed with check-in.
Voucher redemption
The seat selection flow during voucher redemption works the same as for regular tickets:
If the voucher has pre-assigned seats, redemption proceeds immediately (no seat selection).
If the voucher has no seats assigned, the device opens the seating chart and you must select seats before completing redemption.

Good to know
Minimum app version required: Palisis Ticketing APP 4.65.17 or later.
Payment is blocked until all seats are assigned when required. Seat selection happens before the actual check-in call, so validation logic and reporting remain unchanged.
When the device is in validator mode, the seat selection cannot be handle at the moment of redemption or checkin.
FAQs
➕ Can I change a seat after confirming during check-in?
Yes. Use the Backoffice Manifest to change seats, provided the new seat belongs to the same price category.
