Where do I find it?
What does it mean?
UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is a dedicated staging environment that mirrors your production setup. It provides a secure space to explore and test the Palisis platform without affecting your live operations.
Key benefits of using UAT:
Early access to new features: UAT acts as a "sneak peek" environment. You can test our latest releases and updates before they are deployed to the live production system.
Risk-free testing: Use UAT to experiment with new product configurations, pricing structures, or partner setups. Since it is a sandbox, there is no risk of creating "fake" bookings in your live accounts or affecting your real-time reports.
Feedback loop: Your insights are invaluable. Testing in UAT allows you to provide feedback on new functionalities, ensuring they meet your operational needs before the final rollout.
Note on data syncing: We periodically perform "data dumps" where the configuration from the LIVE environment is copied over to UAT. Please be aware that any new data created solely in UAT (such as test bookings, products, or price changes) will be overwritten during the next scheduled dump.
What should I do?
You can access the Palisis UAT environment for your accounts here:
How to log in:
Users can log in using their standard email address with the suffix .uat added to the end.
Example:
user@gmail.com.uatSwitch rights: Any "Switch Rights" permissions you have in the live environment also work within UAT.
Important technical details:
Verify the version: Before you begin testing, check the version number on the login page to confirm which updates are currently live in the UAT environment.
Data consistency: While we transfer the system setup (products, users, settings) from the live system to UAT during a dump, no booking data is transferred.
Manual data dumps: Refreshing data is not done on a regular schedule. If you need a fresh dump to test a specific new setup, please contact us and we can request a manual refresh from our IT department.
How to test your Webshop in UAT
Instructed to replace “.com” with “.ch” in the webshop URL, including an example pattern (https://{shop}.palisis.com -> https://{shop}.palisis.ch). For instance, https://example.palisis.com → https://example.palisis.ch
Payments cannot be processed in UAT because live merchant credentials cannot be used, so you can create a 100% promo code in UAT to complete bookings without payment. For more information, please visit this article.
