Where do I find it?

Sales channels > Webshop > Edit > Attributes > Eu Law Cookie

What does it mean?

This feature displays a cookie consent banner at the bottom of the screen to inform users about the use of cookies on the site.

The Palisis webshop uses Google Consent Mode, which adjusts the behaviour of Google tags (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads) based on the user's cookie consent choices. This helps ensure compliance with EU privacy regulations while still allowing you to collect valuable customer data in a responsible way.

Users are presented with three options: Accept all, Reject all, or Customise.

If a user selects Customise, they can choose their preferences for four types of cookies:

  • Marketing cookies: Used to deliver ads that are relevant to users based on their browsing behaviour across websites.
  • Analytics cookies: Enable the collection of usage data, helping us understand how visitors interact with the site to improve performance and user experience.
  • User-related advertising data: Allows for tracking data tied to individual users to refine advertising strategies and measure effectiveness.
  • Personalised ads: Enable ads to be tailored based on a user's profile, preferences, and past interactions.

If any category is declined, the corresponding data will either not be collected or will be processed in a limited, anonymised way where possible. For example, if a user declines marketing cookies, Google Ads won’t track personal data, but may still record conversions in an aggregated, anonymous form.

What should I do?

Navigate to Sales channels > Webshop > Edit > Attributes > Eu Law Cookie.

The cookie consent banner will only appear if the 'Message EU Law' attribute is enabled.

Please note that the banner message is fixed and cannot be edited.

If you’re embedding our webshop as an iframe on your own website (acting as the parent site), you can add query parameters to the website URL to carry over the settings from the parent site. This ensures customers aren’t asked to set their cookie preferences twice. If you need assistance with implementation, we recommend contacting a web agency — they will be able to help.
