Here, we illustrate how to create new users.

Where do I find it?
Account > User management
What does it mean?
In User Management, you determine the system permission levels for different users.
Key rules:
Every user requires a unique email address (for Hardware users, you can use a dummy address, e.g. john.doe@test.test, as long as they don't need Backoffice access).
The user list is sortable by drag and drop. Hardware users appear on the Ticket Terminal in the same order.
There are six authority levels:
Backoffice Admin
Backoffice User
Backoffice Limited
Boxoffice Admin
Boxoffice User
Hardware User
For details, see Authority Levels.
Some users can also receive additional special permissions. See Special Permissions Reference for the full list.
What should I do?
How to create a new user
Click Create new user in the top-right corner.
Step 1: Basics
Enter the required information:
Email — must be unique in the system
First name
Last name
Click Next.
Important: User creation happens instantly after Step 1 (remaining steps only update the profile). If the process is canceled after this point, the user account remains active, and the system will still send them an account activation email.
Step 2: Advanced
Employee ID (optional) — useful if you want to identify users by code instead of by name
Step 3: Properties
All fields in this tab are optional:
Waypoint — restrict the user to selected waypoints
Sales user commission — select a commission template from the dropdown
Cost Center — useful for internal reporting
For more information about commission templates, see this article.
Step 4: Permissions
Select the user’s authority level:
Backoffice user
Backoffice Limited
Hardware user
Boxoffice Admin
Boxoffice
Each authority level has different access rules. See Authority Levels for details.
Backoffice users require navigation permissions to be configured. By default all are disabled — click 'Check all' to enable all, or toggle individually.
Backoffice Limited users have access to the Prebookings menu by default.
Boxoffice and Hardware users share the same default special permission settings. However, Boxoffice users can be granted a wider range of additional special permissions, while Hardware users have a more limited set available.
In other words:
By default, both user types start with the same special permission enabled.
Additional special permissions can be activated for Boxoffice users if needed.
Hardware users cannot receive all of the extra permissions available to Boxoffice users.
For full details, see Special Permissions Reference.
Special permissions by user type:
User type |
Behaviour |
|---|---|
Backoffice Limited |
PERM_MENU_PREBOOKINGS enabled by default (can be disabled) |
Boxoffice |
Multiple special permissions available — see |
Hardware user |
Limited set of special permissions |
Step 5: Security
Set the user’s security method:
PIN for Hardware users
Click Create user to finish.
The new user is added at the end of the list. You can drag and drop it to another position.
Pearl of knowledge: When a Backoffice or Boxoffice user is created, the system sends a notification email with login instructions.
How to edit a user
Click the edit icon on the right side of the user row to open the user profile.
Make your changes and save them.
How to delete a user
Click the bin icon on the right side of the user row and confirm the deletion.
Important: The email remains in the database even after deletion — you cannot reuse it for a new user. Contact Support if needed.
