What does it mean?
Ticket/Receipt/Voucher Layouts define what your printed ticket looks like. You can design your customized tickets. There are different subcategories: Text, Picture, Barcode, VAT, Tickets, Total, Separator, External Ref., Foreign UID, etc.
What should I do?
To create a new layout, click on the '+Add' button. You can choose from three layouts: ticket, receipt, or voucher. You need to select the type at the moment of creation.
Afterwards, input a name for the ticket, add a description (optional), and select 'THERMO'. If you wish to utilise a BOCA printer, kindly contact our support team at support@palisis.com beforehand.
You can now begin adding layout blocks by clicking on the '+' button.
In the following, we detail how to add each block type for a Ticket Layout.
Ticket Layout blocks
- Text block
It prints a text on your ticket, which you can align to the left, centre, or right. In our example, it will print “This is a text block” aligned to the centre. Within the text block, you can utilise the available printer tokens found here.
Once saved, if you click on ‘Edit’, you can preview the individual text block.
- Picture
You can place your logo or any other picture on the ticket. (IMPORTANT: It must be a BMP format with a maximum size of 800x400 pixels). It can be aligned to the left, centre, or right.
You can see how the layout preview is shown on the right side.
- Barcode
This token is essential on the ticket for validating its authenticity, for cancellation purposes in receipts, and redemption purposes on vouchers. Our system automatically generates it as either a QR code or as a CODE_128, depending on your preferences. It can be aligned to the left, centre, or right.
- VAT
The VAT number you previously entered, along with the VAT rate, will be printed on the ticket. It can be aligned to the left or right.
- Ticket
All the information about the type of ticket your customers purchased. It's not configurable; once added, it's automatically included in the layout.
- Total
It represents the total price of the ticket. It can be aligned to the left or right in normal or big size.
- Separator
Enter one character in the pattern field to separate the different sections and assist in maintaining a tidy layout.
- External reference
It references the list of external batch references and prints it on the ticket. It can be horizontally aligned to the left, centre or right. You can select the barcode format as QR_CODE or CODE_128 according to your preferences.
- Foreign UID
If you have an integration with an external subsystem, it retrieves the reference from the subsystem and prints it on the ticket. It can be horizontally aligned to the left, centre or right.
Finally, the complete layout is displayed on the right side, providing a helpful means to verify accuracy.
Finally, don’t forget to click on ‘Save’ the layout on the top.
Receipt layout blocks
One block is specific to a receipt layout, the ‘Payment’.
- Payment
It prints the payment method on the receipt, indicating how the booking has been paid: Cash, credit card, voucher, etc. It can be aligned to the left or right.
Voucher layout blocks
One block is specific to a receipt layout, the ‘Voucher’.
- Voucher
It displays the deposit paid to the sales agent and the total amount paid for the booking. It's not configurable; once added, it's automatically included in the layout.
