Where do I find it?
You can activate this setting on the ‘Offer Configuration’ panel. Go to Configuration > Sales Channels > Online-Shop (Desktop), select the gear icon adjacent to the offer and select the Datetime option “PICKUPPOINT”.
What does it mean?
The pickup point date-time option applies only to the desktop webshop and adjusts the booking process of routes with an assigned pick-up route. With this setting, customers first select their pick-up point and select a departure time from that point. When this setting is enabled the booking process is as follows:
1. The customer chooses the pick-up point where he/she would like to join the bus/transport service. At this point, it is not necessary to select a time.
2. The second step would be to select the desirable date.
3. Finally, he/she chooses the time of departure, which will be adjusted by the time when the bus/transport services the pick-up point.
In our example, the route is timetabled at 9:00h and 15:00h. However, as the pickup location selected is set at -30 minutes, the departure times are 30 minutes before the tour takes place (08:30h, 14:30h).
What should I do?
Apart from selecting the date-time option “PICKUPPOINT” on the offer configuration as we mentioned in the previous paragraph, you should also assign a relative type of pick-up route to the operation line. For more information see “How to configure pick-up routes”.
