Where do I find it?

You can access the section “Partner Permission” in two ways. Either by going to Partnering > Sales Agents > Partner Permission:

Or by going to Partnering > Partner Management and clicking on the key symbol of the according partner:

What does it mean?

By configuring the partner permissions, you determine which tours/products your partner is allowed to sell. You can set the permissions for each partner individually or establish partner groups, for which you can set certain default settings that will then apply to all the partners in the group.

What should I do?

First of all, you need to decide if you want to establish permissions for a partner group or for an individual partner. If you are working with a lot of partners, it is advisable that you create partner groups in order to save time. For example, you could create a group for hotels and a group for agencies, or you set up groups considering the commission you agreed on with your partners (e.g. Hotels 10%, Hotels 15%, Hotels 20%, etc.).

By clicking on “Create Group” you can create and name your groups. Once created, assign the individual partners to their groups by drag and dropping them:

Now, to set up the permissions, click on the key symbol. Keep in mind, that if you set up permissions for a group, the permissions will apply to all partners in that particular group.

The permission section is divided in “Transport”, “Product” and “Bundles”. Let’s start with “Transport”:

You will find all your routes listed below with the priceplans they contain.

Here an example:

Setting “Global permissions” to “all” means, that the partners in this group will be able to sell all the priceplans in this particular route.

When choosing “Detailed permissions”, you will be able to set the permissions individually for each priceplan in the route:

In this example, the partner only has permissions to sell the 48h priceplan.

You might ask yourself what “Blackout period” stands for:

Blackout period is the time (in minutes) that you don´t allow your partners to sell the tour before the next departure. For instance, if you don’t want to allow last minute bookings, you could set the blackout period to 10 minutes. This would mean, that the partner will not be able to sell any more tickets for the tour 10 or less minutes before departure.

Setting up permissions for products:

Go to the “Product” tab and check all the products you want your partner to be able to sell. In our example, the partner only has the permission to sell the “Mozart Experience Merchandise”.

Setting up permissions for bundles:

Go to the “Bundle” tab and check all the bundles you want your partner to be able to sell. Additionally, you can set the Blackout period, just like in the permissions for “Transport”:
