Where do I find it?

Configuration > Bundles

What does it mean?

Creating Bundles is a great way to combine tours and products, perfect for creating roundtrips or combo tickets with two or more components. By creating a bundle, you will be able to create a new product by combining already existing products in your account. A good example will be a transfer to and from the airport. In this case you would have a priceplan for the trip from the airport and a priceplan to the airport. Using the bundle function, you can combine both trips and sell a roundtrip on the basis of your individual priceplans.

In order to create a Bundle, go to Configuration > Bundles and click on New Group. Inside a Bundle Group you can create bundles that are similar or that have the same components but different rates. For example, in a bundle group called Transfers you can add the Transfer City-Airport Adult and the Transfer City-Airport Child.

If you set a primary route, the capacity management will be taking the configured capacity of this primary route in case that no event is selected for the booking.

After creating the group and saving changes, click on New Bundle. Add the components of the bundle by selecting the route, the priceplan, the rate and the number of items. Once you have chosen all the components, click on the blue small arrow.

For example, when creating the Transfer City-Airport Adult (both ways) we will add as components our routes Transfer to Airport and Transfer to City, and the rate Adult.

Now you will need to choose the Version of the bundle. The version is related to the priceplan. If you choose version V1 you will have to create a priceplan and set a price for this bundle in Configuration > Bundles > Priceplan > New.

By choosing the version V2 the price will be automatically calculated as the sum of the bundle components. For example, if each component of the bundle costs 8 euro, using the version V2 the price of the bundle will automatically be set to 16 euro. However, you can also mark the bundle as discountable in order to make discounts applicable.

Another setting to take into consideration is the Timetable-offset (min).

If you set a timetable offset, and the selected event is automatically assigned, the second part of the bundle assigned should be the next event after this number of minutes, having as a reference the time of the first part of the bundle. So, for instance, if the first bundle component automatically assigned is at 13:00 and the second bundle component is configured with a timetable-offset of 120 minutes, it means that the second bundle component selected event by the system would be the next one after 15:00.

In this case, the customer can’t choose the event, he will just receive the tickets with the events assigned as explained.

Here you can also configure the possibility for the customer to choose the date or date and time of the bundle by setting the corresponding DateTimeOption and clicking Select Event Manually.

If there is a timetable-offset in this case, the options shown to the customer to choose from will be the ones after that time offset configured. For example, if we have departures every hour for this bundle and there is a timetable-offset of 120 min, when the customer chooses the first component of the bundle at 10:00, the departure for the return  at 11:15 won’t be shown and he will be able to choose another departure from 12:00.
