What does it mean?
In this section you can configure the price and validity of your tickets. You can decide which one of your designed ticket-layouts you want to apply to the ticket and for how long it is valid for. It is possible to create multiple priceplans for each operation line. For example a 24h ticket and a 48h ticket.
What should I do?
Create a new priceplan by clicking on "new".
- Now enter the name of your priceplan. In this example, the priceplan is for a Hop On Hop Off Operation Line and it is a 24h ticket.
- In the second "Name" box, you can enter the name that you want to appear in the webshop and in the boxoffice. You can also configure a different names for each language you offer by clicking on the small drop-down field.
- On the right, you can add the according ticket layout that you already have created in Configuration > Business Data > Ticket Layout, by choosing the passenger category, seat category and the layout itself. Then, add it by clicking on the blue plus.
- You can either have an individual layout for each passenger - and seat category, or use the same one for all. In this example, one standard layout has been applied to all categories.
- Set the according VAT Rate.
- The date range determines the timeframe when the ticket can be booked.
- The Event Date Range determines the timeframe in which the tour/event is actually running.
- IMPORTANT: Date Range and Event Date Range are not the same. Below example means, that the ticket can be sold from February 1st until March 31st and the service is running from March 1st until March 31st.
- The Validity defines the usage time frame in which a ticket is valid. Please set the limited time in minutes and for how many occasions the ticket will be valid. You can also limit a ticket to the end of day (event day at 23:59).
Some Examples for possible configurations:
- This ticket is a 24h ticket that is valid for one occasion. So if this ticket has been checked in at 10:00, it is valid for 24h (1440 min) and can be validated up until 10:00 the following day:
- This ticket is a 24h ticket, valid for one occasion and limited to the end of day. That means, that even if the ticket is valid for 24h and it has been checked in at 10:00, it will only be valid up until 23:59 of the same day it has been checked in.
- This ticket is a 2h ticket, valid for 3 occasions, which means, that the ticket can be checked in 3 times and will be valid 2 hours from the moment it has been checked in.
- Check the box for "Return plan" and set the return operation line if your ticket is valid for a specific return route as well.
- If you check the box "Specific Usage Timeframe" you will make your ticket valid for a specific time and date range. For example if your ticket is valid for a whole month, you could enter this here.
- By setting a tick for "sell onsite" you enable the sales of this ticket on the terminals
- If this priceplan is an upgrade priceplan to another ticket, please choose here the initial priceplan. For example, you already have a 24h priceplan and want to give the ability to upgrade to a 48h ticket. In this case you would create a priceplan "Upgrade from 24h to 48h" and you would choose the 24h priceplan in the Upgrade dropdown.
- The "Group Size" feature enables you to configure if all the tickets should be generated and printed separately and as individual tickets, or if, from a certain ticket number on, all the tickets should be printed on one single ticket/voucher. If you leave the box in blank, it means, that all the tickets of one booking get generated and printed as individual tickets. If you enter a number, for example "5", it means, that when a booking contains five or more tickets, they will be printed on one ticket.
- Group Size Device: For tickets being sold on the device/terminal
- Group Size Online: For tickets being sold in the webshop
- Group Size Voucher: For vouchers being sold on the device
- Group Size Boxoffice: For tickets being sold in the boxoffice
- "Print ticket exchange on check-in": When this box is checked, a Ticket will be printed when redeeming a voucher
- "Print check-in confirmation": When this box is checked, a check-in confirmation will be printed whenever you check in the ticket
- Finally you will have to enter the price for the ticket. There are several options of prices you can set. In general if there is no price entered, the ticket will not be available on that sales channel. Set the correct price for all the currencies you have available.
The columns display the passenger categories and the lines will be explained in the following:
- Onsite: The price displayed on the devices/terminals
- Boxoffice: The price displayed in the boxoffice
- Online: The price displayed in the webshop
- Api: The price for api connected systems
- Onsite partner: The price displayed on the devices used by your partners
- Boxoffice partner: The price displayed in the boxoffice of your partners
- Api partner: The price for partners using the API.
- Online partner: The price displayed in the webshops of your partners
- External costs: The external costs of this ticket that will be deducted of the revenue in the reporting.
IMPORTANT: If you also have a TourCMS account set up, it is necessary that you fill in the api and api partner price.
You can also leave the prices blank, which means, that this type of ticket will not be available. For example, in the screenshot below, the student ticket has been left blank, therefore it will not be available.
Once you've finished with the configuration of your priceplan, don't forget to save everything.
Also, keep in mind, that the priceplans displayed in blue are currently valid priceplans. The priceplans displayed in red are currently not available.
